Worship

One of the ways we fellowship with God is by worshipping Him. Worship is basically honoring God for who He is. It’s the response of our lives to the revelation of His character in nature. Our response should be one of respect, reverence, admiration, and awe. Singing to God and praising Him with our mouths from sincere hearts is one of the most common ways we worship God. Oftentimes, He communicates His presence to us in real ways. Let today be a day of worship, true worship for you. Jesus said that the Father is seeking those who will worship Him is spirit and in truth (John 4:23). Will He find you worshipping Him this way today? I certainly hope so!

Blessings to you today in the name of the Lord Jesus!

Reflection

photo-1440557958969-404dc361d86f

A new year gives us the opportunity of fresh, new beginnings. As we reflect on the events in our lives over the past year, we can trust God with all of it. In fact, that’s what He wants us to do. We can celebrate the victories and trust Jesus with our failures as we submit ourselves to Him afresh and anew. We may not know how God is going to take care of us but we can be assured that He will. Talk with the children and young people in your life about the many ways God has taken care of you throughout your life. Let this be a reminder and comfort to you of the faithfulness of God!

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”  2 Corinthians 5:17

Faithfulness

photo-1443827423664-eac70d49dd0d

Thank God for His faithfulness in 2015. Since He is the same yesterday, today and forever, He will be faithful in 2016. A new year is just what it is – new! A fresh start. Do you need or desire that right now in your life? If so, I believe God will grant that. You may have to leave some bad habits, recover from some bad choices or from injustices done to you, or maybe you have just been in a dry place for a while. God likes doing new things! Let’s believe Him for new things this new year for the glory of the King. We would like to pray for you as well. If you are willing, please fill out a prayer request. We receive your request and join our faith with you in accordance to God’s will as revealed in scripture!

May God touch and minister to you today!

Grace of peace and blessings be yours,

It’s time to say goodbye to 2015! Ready or not, 2016 is just days away. It seems that time goes by so quickly, we are left with a vague sense of lots of activity but we hardly even know where that time went. A new year often means New Year’s resolutions of all sorts, most of which get lost in the shuffle by February. God wants us to trust Him with every part of our lives. He longs to set us free from our fear of the unknown. He wants us to give Him the deepest and most hidden places of ourselves so that He can shine His light and set us free. Remember the “spiritual markers” in your life and share these with your children and grandchildren! Be encouraged for the new year with the assurance that God will never leave us or forsake us.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Blessings of grace, peace, and joy for 2016!

Are You Ready?

snowy road

Can you believe that this is the last Sunday of the year? Amazing. We have an opportunity to look back at the faithfulness of God and look forward with an expectant hope of Him fulfilling His promises regarding your life. I believe God wants to do great things in and through you and I think that He wants us to believe Him to do it. May this coming year be one of faith, hope, and miracles to the glory of God!

As a church, I want to challenge us to believe God to manifest healing and deliverance in and through our church body in ways we have not known. He is able and willing! Are you ready?

Blessings!

Simple Gifts

photo-1443453489887-98f56bc5bb38

This is a beautiful time of year as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus. God sent His redeeming love to rescue us through the perfect gift of His only Son. It is hard to grasp that the Creator of the universe loved us and still loves us, so very much!

While all of the festivities and sounds of Christmas can be a welcome distraction for some, they can also be painful reminders of loss and loneliness for others. How can your family bless someone who might be struggling during this holiday season? Kind words, expressions of love, as well as the simple gift of your time can help to bless and encourage someone. Help your children to recognize the difference they can make in the life of another.

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests.” Luke 2:14

Humble Beginnings

Jesus came to us in a simple and unexpected way. Those waiting on the Messiah expected a majestic entrance, but God had other plans for the arrival of our Savior, Jesus. A humble young girl became the mother of the Son of God and he was gently placed in a manger because there was no room in the inn. Fully God yet fully human, Jesus came to seek, to heal, and to save all of mankind. As you celebrate this Christmas season, take the time to marvel afresh and anew the wonder of this great love and sacrifice. Share this with your children and grandchildren as you make precious, lasting Christmas memories.

“Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests.” Luke 2:13-14

Blessings of peace and love to you and yours!

Profound Love

photo-1439761414027-4f4ebeeda3a3

I spoke to a local Christian school last week and reminded them that God demonstrated profound love for humanity by sending a savior to earth to die for our sins. We need a savior and He is Christ the Lord! I also shared with them that He came, according to I John 3:5, to take away our sins and to destroy the works of the devil in our lives. I had a friend who once said that Jesus came to take away our “stains and chains” – the stains of sin and the chains of bondage.

If you are in need of forgiveness or freedom, Jesus is our savior. He can forgive you and set you free. Come to Him!

May the Lord bless you today. If we can be of any help to you, we would like to do that. Simply contact us.

The Reason

photo-1447876394678-42a7efa1b6db

“Jesus is the reason for the season…”

We often hear this catchy phrase throughout the Christmas season but do we stop to think about what it really means? The hustle and bustle is upon us as we fill our calendars with family gatherings, celebrations, and shopping! Lots of shopping! It can all pass by in a stressful blur if we don’t intentionally decide to focus on what’s most important. Precious opportunities to spend time with family and friends can be viewed as just one more obligation to endure. For others it can be a reminder of how alone they feel. Determine today to make this season about the celebration of the birth of our Savior, Jesus! God extended the amazing gift of His Son, Jesus, to save us from eternal separation from Him. Share this ultimate gift with your family and friends this holiday season!

Faith

photo-1440557958969-404dc361d86f

I have been speaking on the subject of “faith” for the past 3 weeks. Given current world events, it will be easy to allow our heats to give way to fear versus living in confident trust and assurance that God will continue to care for His children. He doesn’t want our faith to fail so he is teaching us to trust Him. Since His expectation for us is to live by faith (Hebrews 10:38), He is committed to us having that kind of lifestyle and through it we will please Him and will be commended by Him. Life is indeed short and in view of the return of the Lord Jesus, faithfully following Him should be our aim. If you don’t have a personal relationship with Him, today is a good day to start that relationship. If you want to talk to someone about that, please email or call the church office. Someone will follow up with you.

May the Lord bless you today!
